About Our Practice
ETCVSG was founded in 1976 by doctors Robert E. Ware and the late Southgate Green. Today, six physicians, a clinical staff of twelve, and an office staff of fourteen provide our community with outstanding cardiac and thoracic care. Our group practices at five Knoxville area hospitals, including: Baptist Hospital West, St. Mary's Medical Center, Fort Sanders Regional, Fort Sanders Parkwest, and Methodist Medical Center (Oak Ridge). Our primary focus of care is cardiothoracic surgery, with coronary bypass surgery being the leading procedure. We also specialize in the area of thoracic (chest) surgery, as well as many new minimally invasive techniques.
