Patient Information

Becoming Our Patient

Whether you were referred to us by your primary care physician, cardiologist or pulmonologist, referral to a cardiothoracic surgeon is an emotional experience for you and your family. We understand this and strive to alleviate your concerns by communicating with you throughout the continuum of care you receive at East Tennessee Cardiovascular Surgery Group. Our entire staff is dedicated to helping you get through this time.

Your First Visit

You will receive a call from our office one to two business days prior to your appointment to confirm the date and time. If you don’t hear from us, please call before leaving home. Due to the nature of our physicians’ practice (they are often called to emergency cases), delays are infrequent yet possible. During the phone confirmation we will review the status of any records our physician may need, your insurance status and referrals required. Please bring your insurance ID card with you to your appointment.
